Job Description:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in business valuation, financial reporting, or a related valuation role.
- Hands-on experience performing fair value valuations in accordance with ASC 820 and/or IFRS 13.
- Experience performing business, equity, and/or intangible asset valuations using income, market, and cost approaches.
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow, guideline public company, and guideline transaction analyses.
- Experience with financial modeling and valuation techniques, including option pricing models, Monte Carlo simulation, and Binomial Models.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Progress toward, achievement of, or interest in obtaining a relevant valuation designation such as ASA, ABV, CVA, CBA, or CFA is a plus.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Amenable to working in a hybrid setup.
- Willing to work the night shift.
Responsibilities
- Become familiar with and adhere to the firm's policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Perform business, equity, and intangible asset valuations for financial reporting, tax, transaction, litigation, and other corporate purposes.
- Perform fair value analyses in accordance with ASC 820 and/or IFRS 13, including determining appropriate valuation approaches, methodologies, assumptions, and inputs.
- Develop and review valuation models using income, market, and cost approaches, including discounted cash flow, guideline public company, and guideline transaction methods.
- Conduct industry, market, and financial research to support valuation assumptions, market multiples, discount rates, and other relevant inputs.
- Prepare and review detailed valuation working papers and reports supporting valuation conclusions and financial reporting requirements.
- Apply professional judgment and critical thinking to assess valuation issues, assumptions, methodologies, and supporting financial information.
- Communicate effectively with clients, managers, and team members to gather information, discuss valuation matters, and provide updates on engagements.
- Handle multiple priorities and ensure valuation engagements are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with established quality standards.
- Stay current with applicable accounting standards, valuation guidance, and relevant industry developments.
- Demonstrate professionalism and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
